Why "Kachuchart" ?That name is a nickname of the dialect that the artist's grandmother would use to call for her. She never understood why, but every time she heard the name she'd known it's her. Even though there's plenty of translations, her grandmother never told her why that name and after growing up it was too late to ask. In many countries, "cacucha" is used for different motions and definitions, she did her research and found out about "Saint Cachucha" from a Mexican dictionary, it means "imaginary saint who is invoked in difficult trances". She took that name in loving memory of her passed grandmother and made it her own, so instead of a "c" it's now a "k" for originality, a new definition and an identity. For social media purposes she blends the name in with the word "art".

I had the chance to participate in a new event by Eventos Vep, that helps promote small businesses in all kinds of merchandising like soaps, jewelry, desserts, and, of course, art! From Sep 1-3 I had a table at Plaza Carolina for those whole three days during the mall's hours, getting to meet new familiar faces and getting to know me as an artist. This being my first time doing a table with the company and the location, it was very interesting, and the small business owners around me were all so kind and willing to help one another. I would definitely try doing this again in the future; it made me reflect on more merchandising and ideas for my business. Keep your eyes peeled for what's coming up next!

Second time at a convention and it was a blast! From April 7-9 of 2023 I was able to participate again at PR Comic Con '23.First things first, giving my ultimate gratitude to everyone that was able to atleast pass by my booth to see or say hi and so thankful to those who bought a little something something. I was honestly in awe of how well this year's convention was, specially when this person named Dari told me they specifically came to the convention to see me! They even asked for a picture with me! I will never forget that interaction. This is really keeping me more motivated to continue doing more art for everyone!
Here I am with a much bigger setup than last year. Let's see how it looks next year, which obviously I will keep participating at this convention! Also I'm really trying to get my things together to do more events as an artist in different locations. Stay tuned and I will keep y'all updated with any other events.Off Topic
Gabriel Luna was one of the guests there and he was just strolling around the con, he saw my booth and stopped to say hi (And ask why I didn't draw him :'))) We joked around about that). He was such a nice person! I asked if he wanted to take his brother (Joel pin I made) and he said "No! I want my niece." and I was just fangirling. Ended up giving him both 'cause why not. Can't wait for season 2 of The Last of Us (or can I...)

I really do hope I'll be able to participate for PR Comic Con 2024. I'll keep y'all posted!

I got the chance to sell my art at my first convention: Puerto Rico Comic Con 2022 from April 15 to April 17. This was an activity I had in the works and been waiting to do since 2020, before the pandemic happened. After that long awaited time I can honestly say it all went well. This was an amazing experience and I got to meet incredible artist and people, wouldn’t change anything about it.Thank you so much to everyone who passed by, bought some stuff, chatted with me and complimented my art work. I will forever remember this!
Hopefully I get to participate in more conventions, specially for next years Comic Con 2023!

For this year on Open House 2020, I was able to be a part of a live painting, a mural from an Art Course I was taking with the Profesor Rigoberto Quintana.
This is a collaboration mural that was taken part of the whole semester's grade for the art course. The mural is a photo edit that was made between four classmates and the Profesor. The edit includes famous trends, memes, a very well known female artist, Frida Kalo.
*** Note, because of the Pandemic we weren't able to finish it. Stay tuned for the finished update.

During the year of 2019 I was able to offer one of my art pieces to be a part of merchandise, making products of pins and stickers for a foundation called "La Fundacion de Ismael Rivera". This same year that art piece was also part of a collaboration that happened recently "Santurce: La nueva meca del arte".

Read all about it in the University of Sacred Heart website, here's were I made one design and co-designed two of the selected artwork as a sticker that was made in pins for an event in University of Sacred Heart San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2018. Then was considered and chosen as oficial stickers for Church's Chicken, all for scholarship founds for students in the University.

Third time in a row, I was part of a collaboration that was exhibited in the college's library, Universidad del Sagrado Corazon. There were three projects of mine that were incorporated for this theme.
The theme is an homage to a very well known place in Puerto Rico, recognized for and it's continuos involvements with incorporating art in every corner you stop by. Saturce is an area thats located in San Juan, it has a long and strong connection to the history of this island. Also giving an important mention to Ismael Rivera and Rafael Cortijo, giving more spotlight to the greatest talents of the black and latino artists of Puerto Rico.

I was honored on being able to talk to them and be able to tell others how I was able to obtain myself and continue doing so with my art.
In the article bellow you'll be able to see the Q&A's they have establish for me. There's also a podcast that's streaming on Spotify, if you 'd like to listen to that too.

Here's were I was part of a collaboration that was exhibited in the University of Sacred Heart's library. There were two projects of mine that were incorporated for this theme.
One of them being "Community" which is a representation to not only the black heritage, but giving light to also being part of LGBTQ+ community. The other one being "Angela Maria Davila" one of Puerto Rico's greatest poets and activist.
